As for job openings its probably easier for a general surgeon to find work than a CT in some cities due to work load which is getting extremely reduced for CT/cardiac/vascular because of competition from other specialties (interv cardio); besides, procedures a long and uncomfortable, you can repair 8 hernias in the time it takes you to do almost any procedure in CT.

Thanku all for the suggestions! actually Cardiac Surgery 4me is just more than an speciality of choice 4me..bcz our country direly needs highly trained CT Surgeons and we hardly have 2-3 in whole of the country so I wanna take it on...moreover, I've alwayz imagined myself to b CTS....yes I think for IMGs it might b a little harder to a residency in that but as said by DOC_ER thta it could only be possible by bagging the highest scores in my STEPS and then no one's gonna inhibit me from going 4it....so from now on I promise not to just read books BUT EAT THEM.......>>>!
