24 y g3p2 vaginal bleeding, no uterine contractions, prenatal course normal.12 weeks iugr confirmed with dates. 4 yrs. ago low cs done for her 2nd preg.bright red bleeding, temp37 B.P. 90/70 PULSE 90 RESP 16 FHR REASSURING DX? ANS IS PLACENTA PREVIA. WHY NOT ABR PLACENTA just bec no uteine cont goes in favour of placenta praevia? abr placenta uterine cont should be present in case history?

I think that with abruptio placenta there must be painfull bleeding

I think that painless bleeding without uterine contractions is in favour of placenta previa...also the history of previous CS and the reassuring FHR are also suggestive for placenta previa... what is UW explaination ??
