Finally I got my score this morning and I am very very happy. I studied 8 and a half months. First started with uw in tutor mode and subjectwise and I got 60%. When I was solving UW questions I took very extensive notes. Taking notes made me very very slow, started on March 17 finished on june2. After that I watched dvds and read the kaplan books almost for 2 months (June2-Agust25). On agust 26 I signed up for kaplan q bank. This time I solved questions in time mode but again in subject wise. After each subject I reread my extensive uw notes. My kaplan q bank score was 71%. Finally in my last month on october 30th I wanted to solve uw questions one more time (timed and subject wise). While solving uw questions for the second time, I frequently looked up kaplan books, I thought this would be my second review of books. After second solving, my uw score was 74%. By the way I forgot to mention about NBME, on agust 27 th I took nbme2, my score was 490(215) and on november 24th I took Nbme3 and score was 510(220). Finally I took step2 on november 29th. In my step1 exam the day before the exam, I was totally freaked out, paniced. It was a nightmare. And I decided to not to panic this time. I thought hopefully I did everything I can. I want to say one last thing about the step2. It looked like to me that almost all questions were from kaplan and uw. If you know really well those you can absolutely score high in this exam. I never used first aid but I wish I could because I felt that my last review was not good , I felt I forgot everything. I believe first aid is a good last-minute review book. There are lots of basic questions in the exam, please do not ignore basics. I hope this post helps.

Thank you all... basics like migrain, pseudotumor cerebri, hyperprolactinoma, arthritis (discriminate according to the synovial fluid analysis), multiple sclerosis. I got 3-4 EKG, 3 audio questions at the end of the bloks.

I watched their DVDs once I wish I had watched at least for 2 times. DVDs improved me a lot, teachers make concepts easyly understandable, they help concepts stick in your mind. I think all internal medicine teachers are great. Eventhough Dr. Asher (not sure about the spelling) seemed boring, I learned from him a lot. OBS-GYN and surgery teahers are also great, I recommend everyone to listen to them. Pediatri instructor teaches as if he reads from book. Nevertheless, I watched his DVDs because at that time I did not want to read books. Listening rather than reading was easier. Listening to the pediatri DVDs were enough so I did not need to read the books again.

When you did your UW subject wise how long did it take you to take notes? Were you able to do UW again or you just studied your notes? Thanks for your reply.
