Great score indeed!!!!  
I wanted to ask you the material u mentioned include-----kaplan notes and dvds,UW, Q book,NMS and kaplan simulated. Is tht all u studied or something else? What abt Blueprints and goljan? Do u think the material u mentioned is sufficient?

The materials you said before are enough to get 99.
You do not need blUeprints or the Goljan to get 99.
Go ahead and get 99 it is FAIRLY POSSIBLE

Thank you usmle_exam.
The pathophysiology in step2 is relevant to the diseases, for example what is the pathopphysiology of Huntingtons disease--->triplet repeat expansion.
when you find a disease in the step2 understand how it happens and that will take care of the pathophysiology part.
i used to make bridges between step2 and step1 , that was very helpfull, try to do that and i am waiting for your 99

Thank you ,i graduated from cairo university in 1998, which was not helpful for the USMLE . My study for the USMLE was totally diffrent from the medical school study

well I'm not a graduate yet, but after doing step 1 I'm so proud of the teaching system in my country
read your comments and i just wanted to say that not all medical school in 3rd world country- as u described - teach irrelevant material.. just a clarification and nothing else

i agree with you there , although i did not say they teach irrelevant material in 3rd world medical schools
What i said : there is a big diffrence between teaching and practice in one side and between the methods of study and the application of informatin .
In fact i am a faculty staff and i find a very big deal to make a difference in the medical education , many others suffer the same problem too,and i think this is in part explains why many do the USMLE (to be enrolled in a right educational system)

I am sure there are some good medical schools out there, and i would like to get into one of those instead of going to the USA ,do you know one of those? in fact i do not think i will be happy in the USA,but if a must ,we should go and work hard to collect as much as possible of experience to make a difference in our countries and maybe the next generations will take the upper hand for the progress of mankind and we will not need to travel outside our counteries just to learn and work right.
we have a big duty to do so Allah SWT help us

Good to start the NMS, it is difficult and it is natural to get a low scores in the begenning.
But as a final evaluation before the exam and after a lot of preparation , i would say above 80 is a good score. But do not put this in your mind , i would prefer 90 or more , this is the attitude we should be on to crush the exam

I'm not sure whether its the same for everybody because each test is supposed to have unique values. I, however, had the same mean and SD. But then the mean and SD tell you nothing bout your percentiles because the scores are not normally distributed. Congratulations once again for one of the highest scores on the forum (the highest i have seen is 286). Great job!!
