look at the IM forum, lots of prematchs!...What's going on in psych? any of u had a prematch offer and declined it ?

If you are looking for a Prematch then I advise you to directly ask the PD if they offer any prematch "in general"... that in general inquiry in fact means you specifically, so you'll get an answer immediately or you'll get an email-call in the upcoming few days.

i agree with you, and i thinks its the best way of asking. u can figure it out before the IV by taking the open positions from Freida and substracting the mathc quota from the NRMP web site. However I am asking about somebody who actually got it or at least asked for it and then was called. It seems to me that psych programs dont offer prematchs so often than IM programs? or maybe the people from the psych forum is just looking for the best programs (who dont offer prematchs at all)?

Psych wants to tell the world it is unique so thy dont want to give pre matches
slots are few and thy r sure thy get matched

if a program offers pre match doesnt mean its a bad program, in fact all 180 Psych are mostly University based
Derxel has a very good and old hospital and the PD offers 4 pre matches

hi cupidpluto, have u heard anything from PD at St Louis Univ? just wondering if u have rcvd anything from them. no prematch for me till now. i guess most of the prog go for match as they r confident of matching. very few offer prematch . at uni of missouri columbia,mo two residents said that they got a prematch, but when i looked at the nrmp quota it was still 5(same no)???? dont know how much to believe them?

SLU dont offer prematch and I heard somebody got mail stating thy will be ranked highly,I m not sure about tht
pre matches r usualoffered in New york, philadelphia and very few
Uni of Missori offers pre match to MRCPsych graduates
Drexel chairman has changed not offered to anybody as of today (thy offer 4 prematches)
If anybody offers take it in written, ppl say many things

By the way interviewed at Dartmouth
nice pleasant place
I m just lucky to get IV call
four ppl were interviewed on my day
All rest r AMGs
I asked one of the guy whereelse he got IV
he got frm very nice places where IMGs rarely get like Uni of Pittsburgh
Dartmouth is isolated beautiful not much pt exposure but has a very very good academic tract, I woud love it
