Hi guys! I was just wondering if it's really too late to apply to more programs at this time. Are programs not accepting any more applications even if their deadline is not yet over? I have tried calling some and that seems to be the case. Are the in- terview invites given at this time mainly due to cancellations of other interviewees?

Any other opinions on this? Hoping for some enlightenment. Thanks!!

I am also someone applied late, late November-early December, and I can tell you I highly doubt the programs look at the applications, even if their deadline is jan 1st or feb 1st. I have only heard from a couple programs so far, couple IV's and a couple rejections, but wish I knew how important it was to apply early. My problem is I don't have a step 2 score in yet, so just applying with a good step 1 score and CS, but the advantage is i'm a citizen. I knew my best option was post matching(cause i'll be ECFMG certified by then), but I figure I have nothing to lose by applying, except for a couple hundred dollars. So, if money isn't a issue, you have nothing to lose, but don't expect to hear from 90% of the programs, especially this late. (I applied almost a month ago)...
