Dear bbb,

Hello, I have a question regarding programs which I have not heard from yet. I was waiting on a few programs in particular, and I emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking the status of my application and reinforcing my interest in their program, but I have not heard from them still. So I was wondering what that means... and if I should be calling them and asking instead of emailing.. i know its now pretty late and most programs have filled their spots and any spots now would be from cancellations... so basically i'm asking if i should email again or call or do nothing at all... thanks for all ur help!

It means that as a PC, I can receive lots of emails and not have time to answer them all. Is it worth it to you to call me and see? Then yes, it's worth it.

Or ask the candidate who called me last week, and I could fit her in on Wednesday and her fiance today (ssssh! If you are here, don't give my secret away).

It's always worth a phone call - you never know, the phone call in front of yours could have been a cancellation and I CAN fit you in.

how long should we wait after applying to call or e-mail?? It's tough cause you want to know if you rejected or not without irritating the program directors...

One more thing to bbb...

I've noticed many programs deadlines are jan.1st, jan.15th, and even feb.1. Do they even look at applications sent in november or december, or do they quickly fill up iv spots and don't even bother looking at the ones in nov or dec...

I know it varies from program to program, but what is your opinion on this?

out of 60 or so programs that i havnt heard from yet...i called about 20 today..i got through about 15 and i found out i'm on hold/under review in 3 of'm..1 told me she has 2 open dates and asked me to e-mail the date i'l like and she'll get back to me w/ the confirmation..the rest told me all their iv spots r full.
BTW none of'm were rude at all, actually they were vrey nice and polite on the phone
