Hi friends

All of you guys have helped me in my times of weakness, doubt, turmoils of this usmle`s. I know this might not be the right time to talk like this, as every one is having their share of struggles.I really look upon the members of this forum with respect, cos I know everyone here is Kind and honest. I remember the day when I first joined this forum , I had got a very poor score on my 2nd attempt on step 1. I donot know how , but I visited this forum and asked for advice. Some good people helped me move on and told me to score great in step2, which would make up for it.
I tried making my creds okay ( I thought so !! ) 77(2)/93/pass/2months obs/2USLOR s. I know its nothing as compared to what people have.

I just have 1 interview friends, and I know this match is over for me. sad I am feeling so depressed and low after what I have faced to get to this day. My heart says not to quit , but my mind says that my scores will not increase next yr, I still will have a failed attempt. With this ever increasing copmetetion in getting residency,I donot know what to do. I hate myself for being like that, I still have other good things in life but I just keep thinking about residency which is still my dream.
It scares me to death thinking I might not get it. I donot know what to do, I am losing all hope, I hate being unhappy and making my dear ones sad..

I really wish and pray from God that he gives us all that we have yearned for so much and a bit of peace ,, cos I know it really hurts to let your dream go...sad

what is your visa issue.

well being yourself at the time of the stress is the biggest key to success. I think the difference between your two steps might be cos u enact different during different situations. So this is a kind of test for you. Stay calm and cool. I think u will do good.

take care

You got a 93 in Step 2 ! Hardly anything to be down about. Just make sure this interview goes well, and hope for the best. Interview season is NOT over yet. There's still a good 1.5 months to og, so I wouldnt be too worried right now.

Believe me, there are a LOT more applicants in a worse situation than you, so dont lose hope. You will get your spot.........

That's an excellent step 2 score....what's your visa issue?? That's almost as important as anything...

Don't make any decision while you are not emotionally your normal self. Don't hurry, give yourself time to recover and adapt. Breath. It's not over yet. It won't be until March, since you DO have an interview. Count your blessings. This is not the first time you went through a harsh phase. This too shall pass.

Count on us and our prayers, keep in touch!

(Oh, my, I am soooo bossy! grin)

like others arlete is bossy sticking out tongue but correct too

I guess if you are not among best candidates .. like mortals like us.. it sometimes takes two match season to fuanlly match...

these two years arent going to matter at the end when you have residency in a branch you like & a plac eyou want to be.

may be god has better plans & better residency place for you

me too have very few Ivs I know all teh pain but have patience ..
your scores arent that bad..
