I don't have any answers for you. I don't know about a PTAL (okay, now everyone knows that I am not in California or I am lying).

Apply PTAL now, some got it in 2 months, some in 8 months (my case), it depends on support from your school

Angel, this is the link to the form an instructions: http://www.medbd.ca.gov/applicant/application_int... My advice, sit down tight for an hour or two, read the whole fiel in detail, no one will be able to help you more than your own understanding of the process.. Don't take this advice in worng way.. Regarding fingerprinting, on the cal med board's site there is link to the list of centers.. select one of the centers nearest to you if you are in California.. they will transmit the fingerprint scan to the required office in Cal Government for verification.. If you are not in California, I don't know where you can go for fingerprinting... that is why you will have to read the application packer carefully. Regarding forms A-E, you will be able to fil them out quickly over the weekend and then please send it out with a trackable mailiing service... Pay your fees online with credit card and have the printed receipt with you for interview as well as delivery confirmation of your application at Cal Med Board.. The part that will be painful, esp. if your med school is not willing to co-operate or your clinical clerkships are not matching completely to the requirements, is the educational verifications.... Still be positive and persistent.. manage to fill out the required hours/weeks of clerkships in all areas/specialties from your school.. give your time for this aspect of application rather than hurridly completing application through your school withour fulfilling the educational requirements.. I hope this info helps you.. if not let me know specific queries... Best of luck... PTAL is as demanding as step 1
