Canu please explain the difference between Altrusum and Undoing.Here is a question . If a drug addict participates in anti drug campagin What is it Undoing or Altrusum.Please answer.

It is undoing.In alturism the patient starts to be involved in something that is beneficial to others.But in undoing the patient starts to behave oppositely to his previous behavior that brought about an unfavourable outcome to him.Few examples: Undoing=chroniic smoker who ended up with lung ca stopes smoking.A prostitute who became HIV+ becomes a nun.An alcoholic who developed alcoholic cirhosis stopes drinking alcohol. alturism=a patient with poor self esteem becomes a volenteer.A lonly old rich man donates money to a hospital. Guys I remember a case in step 1:A mother who saw her daughter die in an accident takes up all sorts of reforms to prevent accidents.The defense was sublimation as far as I remember and this case is similar to that as far as I can see.Can someone pls clarify?
