Hi, I am planning to take step one in Late Feb. Read the kaplan home study programmes books and FA. Doing usmlerx as well. The 2 burning question I need to ask was -
1 What other books do i need to supplement for my exams
2 what is UW???
Please advise and ure help will be appreciated. Many thanks

If u do what u have mentioned u shud b fine. but seems like u have ample time. consider -
Goljan notes/audio for pathology. definitely something in addition to kaplan for path. i personally found it too inadequate low yield.
High yield neuroanat, genetics

Thanks a lot NNL and Motorola. I kind of taught, it was USMLE world. Thanks for clarification and advise duly noted. I dont have BRS behavioural sciences and HY genetics- need to get that one. Got goljan audio and notes. Well, just need to crack on with the subjects.

1st UW = Usmle world q-bank, it is online q-bank which is too difficult but is a must for the exam.
2nd, from what i know USMLE Rx is not a good source for qs, u should do Kaplan q-book, kaplan q-bank , usmle world q-bank at least, and assess ur performance with NBME, 1 more thing, from what i heared from my friends, Kaplan home study kit is too detailed, u should have used the kaplan notes, anyway, u did it already, doing FA is a gr8 tool to summarize what u've studied, one more thing u can listen to Goljan Audio and use its accompanying notes, it should clarify lots of things to u and connect branches with each other.....hope that helped.
