Hey All.........!
I am an IMG....2003 graduate.
I started my preparations for step1 officially in Aug,but due to some reasons(i dont wanna go into) my studies came to a complete halt after 2 weeks ......in those 2 weeks i just managed to finish Anat and had started readind physio.........Now almost 4months gone without books.......just picked up my books 5 days back........
Well, I have absolutely no time to brood and sulk over the past if i even hope to make it for 2009 match......it seems like a distant dream now but I am gonna try.....even if it kills me.......!Plan to take step1 by end of march.......yes I know,it almost seems impossible.......but that wont stop me from trying.....
SO 3 1/2 months of preparation.........full time studying!

One rewiew of ANATOMY.......Kaplan videos n Kaplan Lecture notes(but that was 4months back....so wud have been wiped out of memory .....)
Now doing PHYSIOLOGY.....done with Kaplan video lectures n KLN uptil RESPIRATORY system...

Done with RENAL PHYSIO..........couldnt do Acid-base!Started very late......!Have to start early to reach target......

Not started studying yetGod! I am so lazy!!!!!Woke up so late today...and then sulked
I cant afford to do this.NOOOOOOOOO!!!!Its definitely not easy , i dont have enough time......I have to work real hard...I have to start studying atleast 10 hrs/day now...
Ok ,no more sulking........
Todays target------->ACID-BASE
ENDOCRINE(atleast 60pgs)
Now have to get back to books STAT

Now, I know i have to work real hard for that..........
but stil i wasted the whole day y'day........ .....and what really makes me...it was for no good reason
Well today I did Endocrine.....uptil Chapter8 KLN.
Left with thyroid,male n female RT, and git.......
yeah also acid-base
phew!!!when am I gonna finish that????

USV , FT study , give it all .
Although anatomy is few mo back, will not b like 1st new read , even do not remember all .
I have also stop totally in between study due to several factors , but as soon as u pick up ur books , lectures, ur unstoppable . Do not let big break come again , day or few days is ok.
So here we r marching with u to the st 1 prep .

Hey you Guys..........Thank you so much,it feels so good to be here becoz of you guys.feels like you are not alone ...and there's someone checking up on you.
Well really to say that I hav'nt been studying for the past 2days......on Sunday just read for 3hrs......wasted the whole day Y'day....well not "wasted" exactly, hubby is travelling,so helping with his shopping and packing,he wud be leaving on 22nd and then all alone with my books for 3 1/2 months .
Guess I wont be able to study with full focus these 4days....so I'm a bit confused whether to proceed as planned n revise physio or start Pharm
Guess I'll start Pharmac,watching the video lectures wud atleast keep me focussed for the hour s I get to study......huh?

USMLE SAVVY,Thanks 4 ur post in my journal.I am also a 2003 grad like keep goin n urself.okay ........u have ............ 3 n half months for only study,take it as a blessing in disguise n read full time, so did u start pharma?i am gonnu start micro next ,though i still have some time 4 dat coz need to complete physio first,r u done with physio-1st reading?

USV , no excuse , time to sit tight & study since home alone means study without disturb, not partying not yet 
u can do alot in that 3 mo time , make sure use ur time wisely & also keep self healthy , excercise too .

Well,wasted a week....seeing hubby off and sulking...Well now i am all ready and geared up to nail the beast!Yes.....I am home alone.....free to study full time.!!!!!!Yeah, I wud take it as a blessing in disguise....I do hope I can make the best use of it....I have to take step1 by apr...no excuses.!!!!!
A change of plan.....wud start Molecular bio and biochem instead of pharmac.....just to get me stared(not a fan of pharm)....along with that i'll revise physio(70 pgs a day on an avg). Hope to complete Biochem and physio by the end of this month!
Cant do much today as its already 9pm at my end......but I'll atleast do 1st two chapters of molecular bio.
So lets get going

Ok. Done with the first two Chapters.....
Have to sleep by11pm...plan to hit the gym at 6.30am...no excuses!!!Evening gym ain't working...you can find 101 reasons not to workout at the end of the day!And if I dont workout I get lazy and sleep a lot

Did the video lectures of molecular bio. up to genetic regulation(I know not much but its so important,could'nt go beyond that .!
Will revise first 60 pgs of Physio KLN today

Hey,hey hey.....what's wrong with me......I'm are not this ......no.....then why...why do I fail to try........why?????????????Life depends on it now.....still why do I fail to try...Why am I scared......I find myself giving up...thinking its not possible for me to make it to 2009match....why....Why dont I just study brains out and make this happen...I have been among the toppers in med school,but it feels like its been a long time........still why do I fail to try??????????
I must be the lucky one here...I mean there are moms here ,studying while taking care of their kids...and I cant imagine doing that..hats off to them!!!!!
