Hi, I studied without a partner, and I highly recommend you find a partner. I passed on my first attempt, but until I got my result, I really wished I had a partner to practice with. If you can't arrange it, my advice would be to read CS, and basically memorize the cases, 90 % of cases will come from them. Also, watch the videos, I recommend the USMLE World Videos, which are good...Most people who fail do so on the CIS portion, so make sure you stress counselling, closing, washing hands, draping, shaking hands, addressing the patient by name, and stuff like that. The actual clinical exam doesn't need to be perfect because the SP's are actors who have no idea about medicine. I really feel the CS is all about english and communication skills, and that it what it is meant to test.

I also have the same question. Thanks wolverine9. Any suggestions for what to start with, FA , or UW, or do them at the same time? Thanks.

I would recommend FA over UW...read the chapters about do's and don't's well, I believe it is the chapter before the cases...
