I will graduate 2008 not in US
I got 95/99/pass all first attempt.
get 3 months USCE

If I do 1 or 2 years in MPH in US, what is my chance to get in GS?

Please give your objective opiions...This year seems so hard/.So many 99/99 with solid background and still hunt for IV

Don't think MPH degree will help you get into General Surgery. What might help is to do observerships at hospitals or programs that offer them. And if that fails then maybe a prelim spot might help you get a 2nd year spot.

MPH degree may only help if you do some high impact research during your MPH years... may be collaborate with dept of surgery in the same uni.... now chances that you can do even some research, forget high impact, during MPH are few and far.. it is possible only if you join an institution like Johns Hopkins or Harvard or UCSF etc.. Rather invest your money in joining surgery research lab. at a moderately competitive institution... their your work will be appreciated and you will have chance to get in to surgery program if the lab you join is a strong, influential clinical faculty..
