The term "healthy carrier" seems somewhat confusing... Does it simply mean chronic hepatitis w/o symptoms, or LFT abnormality (quiescent state...?) (But that is not exactly "healthy" becuz he/she will might go through FLARE, or get HCC eventually...isnt it?) or does it imply some other condition? Say... a state where all serology is normal, except for HBsAg (+) only.... no risk of HCC .... just mere "keeping" of virus, transmitting to others... I think this fits more correctly to the definition of "heathy carrier"... (although i am not sure if that is a possible natural course...) Thank u in advance...

HBsAg==>acute dis.persistent disease depending on other serological markers and HBeAg ===>active(symptoms plus infectivity due to rappid mulptiplication of virion) so if someoen is HBsAg+ n HBeAg +===>acute and active so like wise if someone just HBsAg+ but HBeAg - ===>acute but not active==>healthy carrier chronic if HBsAg + for > 6 months. hope it helps u.
