This has been a very weird day for me actually. I also received an email from metropolitan asking me to call them and a call to my house in san diego asking me to call urgently to cleveland clinic florida... I think they might "pop the question" jajaja but although I loved CCF I think I will take the chance and go for the match.. I know I risk a lot and might end up "alone" but I might also end up very happilly married so I think I'll go for it!!... Take care everyone and please don't feel discouraged if bad times come because if you are down there is no other way around then up!!

TODAY IS A VERY BAD DAY FOR ME
Just came to NY this afternoon
My luggage was lost at La Guardia Airport, NY including my suit, copied documents, cloths.
They said they will find it and response me within 5 days. But MOnday is my IV date
Moreover, NY taxi driver is very bad, charged me 25.90 USD, I gave him 30$ (tipped him 4.10) USD but he said that it is not enough. I gave him more 5 USD.

Oh man...that's awful... I hope you get your luggage back... That's really bad.... Delta lost my luggage once, fortunately they paid me back BUT 8-10 weeks after... Keep all the receipts...ALL... even food.... anything that changed your schedule etc...
I hope you get your things back back, bro' .... and specially before monday!...

Robin, I dont know how it is nowadays with airlines but they should give you gift certificate for inconvinience that you are suffering due to their fault.
I had been offered flight certificate to the value of 200 dollars.
also dont feel bad for cabbies, no matter which city there are some who really want big tips. especially if you are dressed nice. when they dont get it they insult you. they figure, they have nothing to loose. you will feel ashamed and tip them more or just wallk away and they dont have anything more to loose.
I had one in boston, who commented on my nationality after I did not tip him generously. It was first time I was going out with my fiancee and I was so upset. I got his bedge number, called the cab compnay and told them how he humiliated me in front of my significant other. I did not want him loose job but learn some manners.

Robin, that's too bad. But a word of advice to all:
NEVER check in your baggage if there is a stop on your itinerary, ESPECIALLY these days. Always travel light with a carry on and a backpack MAX. Checking your bags in is like rolling the dice-chances are pretty good that you will lose.

About cabs. I traveled to NY several times and every time I just paid the exact amount and never gave them any tip and never been asked to do so! They were quite polite. So don't generalize one experience.

Well, I have been in a few cabs where the driver tries to squeeze a few more dollars out of you, but in the end you pay what you want in tips. Generally, I pay no more than $3.
