dr_gladiator wrote: got a confusing message from synergy medical alliance MI. I regret to inform you the Internal Medicine Department at Synergy Medical Education Alliance is no longer accepting applications for PGY-I positions for the 2008-2009 Academic Year. We received a large volume of applications for the six positions we have available for the upcoming academic year. If you are selected to interview, you will be notified by email. Your application will be kept active and on file in the event an interview position becomes available. Thank you for your interest in our program. What does this mean? rejection or should i wait for repsonse from them congrates to all who got ivs in this week... good luck... My interpretation: They've stopped downloading (or at least considering newly downloaded info). They have filled all their slots. If there is a cancellation then they will reconsider your application but don't expect to hear from them again unless that happens.

Hey guys I have great news!! I FINALLY GOT IT!! I got UT Houston IV!!! I'm so happy!! This is total victory for me!! I actually cried!! Oh man there is still hope guys! Don't ever loose hope!! Thanks everyone for your continuous support!! This has been a very weird day for me actually. I also received an email from metropolitan asking me to call them and a call to my house in san diego asking me to call urgently to cleveland clinic florida... I think they might "pop the question" jajaja but although I loved CCF I think I will take the chance and go for the match.. I know I risk a lot and might end up "alone" but I might also end up very happilly married so I think I'll go for it!!... Take care everyone and please don't feel discouraged if bad times come because if you are down there is no other way around then up!!

WOW GLO I'm soooo happy for you!! This is awesome news! Being patient and optimistic in this very chaotic and draining process has paid off in the end for you! I wish you all the very best and certainly hope you match in the program YOU want most!!! Thanks Mo.. Hope they keep coming. Fingers crossed!!!

Dear Applicant: We have received your application for an Internal Medicine residency position at Emory University. We receive many applications from good candidates, but regretfully we cannot interview all of them. We have completely reviewed your application material. On behalf of the Program Directors and the Review Committee, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for an interview and our decisions are final. Emory's residency program is both rigorous and competitive. Each year we receive more than 3500 applications, interview only 400 candidates. We are only able to offer approximately 15% of our applicants interviews. Again, thank you for your application. Your interest in our program is appreciated. Sincerely, Emory Internal Medicine Residency Programs
