Hi, was just wondering how long does it take to get the score after the exam? as I have seen they say 3-4 weeks but usually you get it in 2-3 weeks. How does it work? and has been any delay in score reporting after the introduction of the media into the exam?

Thanks very much.

3 weeks is the minimum. Most come within 3-4weeks but some take as long as 6 weeks. They ask that you don't contact them concerning delayed results until after 8 weeks. They have not reported any delays due to the introduction of media items. Delayed scores usually occur during heavy testing periods.

Usually the 4th Wednesday after you take it. Count 4 wednesdays from your test day... Sometimes its the day after that though. Good luck...

Thank you Dr.Virgo. I have one more question. Since the score reposrting these days is done electronically, are they not sending out the score report by mail? Are we supposed to just print it out from our ECFMG accounts and thats kind of considered the official socre report is it?

Thanks again.

doc179, they don't send out scores by mail anymore, scores are just reported online, and you can obviously print that out...

Those 2 weeks are only for taking the exam, and there is no break for score reporting, so regardless of when you give it, you should receive the scores in 3-6 weeks, usually the 4th wednesday....
