hi

i applied to 30 peds programs( NY/NJ) with my step 1 score back in sep. i took cs in july and ck in nov and passed both exams. step 1 (81/199), step 2 (87/211) and have attempts only in step 1, 2000 grad with no usce or research but have 6 months internship in med and worked as general practioner 6 months in my home country so total 1 yr experince(in 2001 and 2002).

i haven't recived any iv yet but got 7 rejections. after i got my result of ck and cs i started calling and emailing programs about my results and my interest in their program but i haven't got any positive response yet. most of PC told me to to follow eras and one PC emailed me back that they r still reviewing applications. does that means the programs from where i recieved no rejection, do i have any chance? what will be yr response when someone like me call u? actually i'm in reall need of work, i took all my steps in 6 months period to be eligible for 08 residency. i don't know what should i do now?

thanks in advance for yr comments.

I think if no rejection tehn they might consider if IV slot is empty later.
As for me I have recieved very less rejectyion compared to number of progrmas I applied. & today One of teh program who didnt reply earlier mailed me that I am on hold.. so just pray people accepting prematch remember to cancel IVs on time so we might have a chance

thanks kity for yr supporting words. i'm a perminent us resident but this year even GC holders r not getting ivs. i called many programs and they said same thing that we have more than thousand applications for few spots. its just a hopeless situation.
