I have prepared myself to take the USMLE step 1 in mid 2009 as i am a new medical school student, new comer if i can say so, but i just wanna know more info about this issue..........
like----------
how long do i have after taking step 1 before i take step 2 and if i am late in takin the step 2 do i lose my step 1 scores???????????
I hope to get any assistance in this issue ..........

well, you have 7 years to pass all the exams to be certified after you pass the first time. i am an IMG already so that is what i know, if you are still in med school, i am not sure, but i would assume it would be the same. and that is for the 3 exams, step1 and step2 ck and cs.
but as a med student you can't take either step2 without passing your step1 first. unlike being an graduate already.
