The only thing that I can tell you is: a. If the program offered you a prematch, ask when they want an answer. b. If you ask a program for a prematch, then you are offered, your answer should be yes. Why did you ask if you weren't ready to accept?

Hi bbb Thank you for your reply I really appretiate your input Here it is my situation: One program offered me a prematch, and I asked when they needed my decision but they didn't give me an specific period of time, they only told me that this year they had more than 4000 applications and I should let them known as soon as possible...I have a IV next week at my number 1 choice so I don't know what to do at this point, cuz I only have 4 IVs and having a prematch is a great thing, and I don't want to let the time pass by and make the PI think that Im not interest because I am......so Im practically dying here..... Thanks for your advice Regards, elektra

How about letting the PC know what's going on and she should be able to advise you.

if it was not you who asked for the prematch, then defiantly you can go for the other interview. But, personally if I was in your place i would taken a pre-match with 4 IVs in hand. well but wot you can do is rank that program amongst all the programs that you applied in this season and if ends up coming in the top-10 of you list then electra go for it .

why dont u do it the other way around ? i mean call the PD that offered u the prematch , tell her u will answer her in a week ( set an exact date )! go to ur IV which should be within the same week make up ur mind accept the prematch personally if I was in your place i would taken a pre-match with 4 IVs in hand. i agree ! oh , and were does this prematch program fall on ur list ?
