I recommend you read ECFMG information booklet 2008, it has all the explanation for this process. If you don't read that first, you will be confused with different opinions. You get the booklet at ECFMG web page. Good luck. smiling face

Lot's of questions for one post, but i'll give it a try...

If you want to join in 2009, try to have all your results in by september 2008 and apply as soon as possible in september and october...

ERAS is electronic residency application service, where you send all your documents and you apply to programs through...

USCE means US clinical experience and is important and recommended for most reseidencies...If you want to get into a competitive residency, you will need at least some Clinical experience in the US..

Visa depends on so many personal factors...so not going to explain that...

Book your CS date as soon as possible, dates are very difficult to find...if you want to get all your exams in time, you should have started studying for step 1, which is considered by many doctors to be the most difficult exam they've ever taken...

You can apply right now...the fees are 1200 dollars for the exam...the dates are backed up...right now the earliest date is in may...so make sure you apply and book a date right now...you can always change the date later if you are unable to make it on that date....
