My husband and I were offered prematch positions in my our first choice program. Same Hospital. This is nothing short of a miracle. The program size is 12.
This is just unbelievable.

Am v. happy fot u both though do not get chance to know u both b4.
All other couples will be very happy to know that it is possible .
If u do not mind do open new thread as couple match in support site , start with both of u , as sticky then , just say in Int Med then prematch in early Dec 2007 for 2008 residency yr that will be great enough .

Also thanks , ur very kind to post both of ur cancellation so , others can look into it , or can hope for if already apply there nod

We did a lot of research both on the pograms and how best to apply

Congratulation. How does the prematch work. Do you initiate or ask for prematch or do they tell you about prematch after the interiew. I feared that it might backfire, sort of looks rude, to ask them if they wanted me, soon after the interview. Any suggestions would be welcome. I am planning to go for an IV, which is my first choice, next week.

we did some research on the programs we applied to found out which ones offer prematch and the ones that dont.
So for the ones we already knew offered that in the past when I was given an opportunity to ask questions after asking one or two others I did ask them if they offer prematch. if I get the yes answer than I ask what the procedure for signifying interest is. Usually ask in a subtle and non pushy way.
After the 4th interview it clicked
