Hey folks,

hope someone can help me with this: I'm in the united states until March and want to give step one end of february. I haven't signed up yet, but If I sign up now, how realistic is it to get a spot at a test center?

Would be glad if someone could help me with that, pleaaaaase....

If you haven't yet requested a 3 month eligibility period, then please go ahead and sign up as the paper work to be done by ECFMG will take some time, but as far as signing up for a spot at a Prometric center to take the Step 1 exam...it's not as hard as getting a CS spot, as there are many Prometric centers across the US.

Of course, if you are in a city/town where there is no center and need to get to one, then I would say you would definitely need to sign up right away as sometimes even though you have a center, the spots for an 8 hour block are relatively less compared to the available spots for a shorter exam like GRE/GMAT.

Good luck!
