does step 3 help in improving the overall profile of a person or its just a formality to get h1 visa

it does both. but u cant get H1 without its result.

almost too late for improving prfile for this match as Ivs are almost given already. but it does improve ur profile for next year.

Some programs like people with passing step 3, some do not.

I attended IVs at 3 hospitals and these hospitals did not care about my step 3, they did not pay attention to my step 3. I had to tell them that I passed step 3.

I think it improves overall profile..., but I guess as Robin posted that some programs just don´t care abou it...
