Digitoksin---binds to so much plasma proteins,metabolised in the liver digoksin----metabolized in the kidneys,short acting drugs...

I thought that it was extravascular protein...not plasma protein...which was the reason for the large volume of distribution with digitoxin. Is digoxin metabolized in the kidney? I thought that is was excreted unchanged. What about the half life? Which is useful for emergency?
