I am an IMG practicing medicine in Europe!
I want to go to the US to get a residency program in plastic surgery, neurosurgery or ORL. I am starting the process... now!
To do so I must get ECFMG validation, and to do that I have to do the step 1, 2 and 3, right? Is it very dificult?
I am a little bit worried because I dont know the books I must study to step 1!
Can anyone tell me were can I get kaplan notes? Is it free or for sale? where can I find them?
Is there any preparation scool or program to lead us to an excellent mark on the exams (step 1 and 2)? in the US? Is it good?
Thank you

Dear FCP,
I am amazed no one had responded to your questions. The material for USMLE you can find at E-bay. Or I think that even in the Europe, you would be able to find many of the study material that are directly made for the test in a book store. I advice you to brows this forum more, specially the “Exam experience” category. There are very good advices about the review materials and even how to prepare for the test. If you need more information please post on this thread. Good luck with your preparation.smiling facesmiling facesmiling face

Thank you very much oldoc for your help!
Everybody talks about goljan pathology, kaplan notes, and Qbanks. Is it possible to buy all that stuff (latest editions) in the internet? Could you please tell me where?
I found a website selling these products, however I am not sure if it is legal website... This is it:

Do you Know it? Is it safe to buy things from here? Because I see there the 2008 edition of kaplan notes cheaper than the 2007 edition!! Why is that? Is it a second hand book?
I didn´t find anything on amazon, and the ebay doesn´t have the 2008 ed of kaplan notes! I also couldn´t find it at kaplan website!
Thank you again and sorry to bother you...
