C (Prostagladins) is the correct answer.

hope4dabest, I took this question in this forum. And i got it wrong the first time but i think it might be useful if i put down the conclusion from the previous discussion:

The guys presume that PG is the correct choice bcoz:

1.-"FAT IS ESSENTIAL in the production of prostaglandins.


2.-They mean by 'fat-free diet' that no essential fats were ingested. For instance, linoleic acid(omega-6 family) is an essential fatty acid and is a precursor of arachidonic acid, which in turn is a precursor to PGs, TXA2, LTs etc.


3.-me007,A fat free diet wudnt drastically affect triglycerides coz glucose(carbs) is a source of tht. "

If someone has a better understanding of this question, any further explanation will be helpful for all of us.
