Falcon USMLE

Hi, just registered here because I have a question that apparently cannot be answered by just searching the forum:

From my understanding the USMLE Step 1 exam contains questions about all things related to basic medical science (i.e. molecular biology, anatomy, histology etc. which as far as I know can be revised in the Kaplan lecture notes or home study program) but also questions about clinical scenarious. I think they call that "abnormal processes" on the USMLE website.

So my questions is, if the Kaplan notes are useful to revise the "basic", non-clinical stuff, what is being recommended for the clinical questions, i.e. diseases etc.? Surely they are not comprised in the Pathology book, or am I wrong? I can't seem to find anything about this.

Also are there any opinions regarding the Kaplan Home Study Program consisting of four books? Are they new or why can't I find any opinions or info about them?

Would appreciate a quick response. Ta!

kaplan/goljan/BRS path--depending on what you prefer, covers the diseases adequately and is enough for the exam

The term "abnormal processes" applies to the pathophysio aspect of any disease and Kaplan does cover it. Although most of us have not used Kaplan Pathology we have used Goljan Rapid Review of Patholgy 2nd edition.
