hi

i kind of stole this concept from another site

this is a revision tool for goljan RR

i am posting one question and the page number for the answer against it

now you must try to answer that question for ur own

and if you don't find the answer look it up in the book on that page if reqd ..

post the answer here

and then you must post another question from same page with page number in goljan second edition 2007 and also the chapter name for those following other editions

and then one from another page

the next person who posts will follow your questions , this time posting one question from the new page you introduced and other one of other page of his/her choice

questions can be one liners

it is just for revision

i will make 3 posts right now for an example

and then we can follow each other

i hope this gets a response

PLEASE DO NOT POST QUESTIONS FROM KAPLAN /UW WORLD QBANKS/ NBME OR OTHER SOUCES .THAT WOULD CONFOUND SELF-ASSESMENTS INDIVIDUALS MIGHT WANT TO DO USING THESE RESOURCES .

I cud continue but I dunno what sterno is grin
if its antifreeze...then its optic nerve that gets damaged

for second
the guttman bodies aer found in lesions of malakoplakia ...due to deposition of calcium ..give PAS positive stain...are surrounded by macrophages...

I dunno what to ask but lets try...let me make one :

A 37 year old female has paresthesias in her upper limbs and has weakening of her right upper extremity. She was diagnosed with a condition in which there is diffuse demyelination of CNS axons. She was told by her friend to join a gym to make her weak upper extremity "GET BETTER". After coming from the gym the first day, her weakness increased in the right upper extremity. What is the most likely reason?

A. The space constant of the neurons have decreased
B. The nerve conduction velocity of the neurons have decreased
C. The muscles have decreased ATP
D. The Neuromuscular junctions have exhausted their neurotransmitters
E. The lesion of the demyelinating disease has progressed
