I'll start with my experience at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio My interview was on the 12th of November. there is an intercontinental on campus and they book rooms for the applicants. very nice place! they conduct interviews on Mondays only and there is dinner on Sunday night. the 2 chiefs took us in a limo shuttle to a nice brazilian place in shaker heights (not very far from the clinic) most of the senior residents were there and also some PGY-2 & 3s .. i found everyone to be very friendly and helpful .. interview day itself starts at 7 am .. the hotel is connected to the main hospital skyway and the chiefs pick the applicants and take them to this room on the other side of the hospital where they have a light breakfast and the PD gives an introduction of the city and program .. she takes everyone on a short tour of the floors and a few other places and then grand rounds at 8 .. after that everyone goes up to the 9th floor for the interviews .. everyone gets to interview with the PD and chair and then 3 faculty members .. u get more time with the faculty members as not everyone goes to the same people .. all the interviews were conducted in a relaxed manner .. no 'pimping' as they say .. they had everyone's applications and asked questions about stuff in it .. i got asked about cricket (i played while in Pakistan and put it in the application) .. the doc asked me the difference between test matches and one dayers and also whether i had had a chance to play since coming to the US ... nyways .. lunch is at 12 and if u get done before that, u can sit with the residents .. they have all their rotations in the same hospital so most of the residents were there ... after lunch they have a few presentations about the research that is going on at the clinic and then one of the chiefs shows a slide show about the different summer/winter activities in and around cleveland. the day ended at around 3:15 .. the residents that i talked to all loved the place and seemed happy to be there .. the PD was also very nice .. they have a few IMGs but mostly AMGs as one would expect .. thats pretty much it .. let me know if anyone has any questions ..
