dear friends,
just got my result.
81/198
took me exactly 3 weeks.
My honest opinion about the exam
1.you never know how u are performing
2.Trust your instincts and do what feels right during the 16 hrs.
What i felt i didnt know before after reading various posts is that the case may be long if u type all orders slow in CCS,coz i took all the time on earth to first write all orders on the wipable sheets and then type ,coz i felt it was my only shot at passing CCS.And my performance in CCS only was-high.Rest were boderline and ethics was asterisk with low performance.

could you please give some tips for CCS?? today was my first interaction with USMLE cd & UW ccs.. feel totally lost here as I dont have any clinical experience...
one more thing do you remember heavily tested topics from your MCQs???

thanks Kity and robin082006,
Kity-the exam was very well balanced,it covered all topics.I was lucky to have most of he qts like UW and they were not so long that i would need to scroll the screen everytme.
For CCS,i did take subscription from step123(2 weeks before exam),found it frustatingly useless,i dint have time to spend over a new software as i had only 2 weeks.I liked practicing with copy and pen and then check it with the UW cases.I made flowcharts and kept memorizing it till the last moment.And lastly,as it has been emphasised by other members too,do all cases in primum software and KNOW what to type for a certain order-thats most imp.
U dont need clinical experience for passing the exam,trust me.CK and UW are good enough materials.

Hi smal
I have a query regarding exam MCQs
I saw in UW that there are many set Questions( almost 50%) with same stem
Are these Questions with common stem common in real step 3 exam too??
would really appreciate your help

Hi dr smal,
Could you please explain why did you find step 123 useless!?! I was thinking to subscribe but now I don't know what to do.....Is their software so different!?! Confusing!?! What about their cases? I'm running a thight schedule and I would appreciate your reply!

I had practiced primum software enough times before I took subscription of step 123,so it made me forget what I had learnt.I started it 2 weeks before my exam.Please dont take my words for it,there are many ppl who found it very useful as well,u've to decide for urself.
