Make sure you get some rest SJ.. sounds like youre going into overdrive.. i wish i could be like you to some point.. someone had told me it takes 8 hrs of sleep to convert short-term memory to long-term memory and im particularly keen on listening to that advice since i love sleep. i mean usmle is not about short term memory so thats why. You doing good so far so you'll recognize nbme questions too.. Remember to create a sleep cycle 2 weeks in advance to mimic the exam day.. including no nap time in morning.. etc etc. sooner you take nbme 3, the better.. im doing nbme 2 soon.. lets pray for one another.

Thanks F-U,doc499,AD for dropping by.

I know getting some rest is a big deal. But everytime i push myself to sleep i will have a terrible headache then. Thanks for your kindness,F-U. How far have you gone?

As I told you, I have to fly 16 hrs. to the test center(that was my biggest mistake) I'm afraid that i will fall asleep during the test.

Anyway, not done with endocrine.

i've done most of the stuff except neuro in depth.. now reviewing FA with UW in general. But i feel like starting medical school all over again from semester1 only do it properly this time.. oh well.. we'll see where time takes us all.

it sucks that you have to fly 16hrs.. make sure goljan keeps you up when youre on the plane and get appropriate amount of rest too.

I spent 2 hrs. watching Grey's anatomy and making pasta.

I gotta make up for that now.

  #85

Did GI in UW. Got 78% ( i recognized them all cause i did it twice)

Will do another 50 Qs.

  #86

Got 50%in hepatobil.Qs.

First, I felt numb. The exam is coming...What should I do?

Now I'm trying to get over it. Maybe It's good to discover another weak subject.

But i'm just wondering if i have time to correct my false.

I'd better go to sleep. I have to go to the grocery tomorrow.grin

  #87

50% is not that bad.. its the semantics that could take you down and its only one block. Go over the educational objectives fast for the second time at the end of the day.. you're heading toward that 99.. jus lil longer soldier.. chin up.. we're rooting for you.. theres no audio but you the idea.

agree with fyred up, go over the wrong questions, if possible type or write down in 1 or 2 lines, what information is missing in memory, u can write them on first aid too. or in a separate sheet, and reveiw it 1 time now, and keep it for later.
dont worry, its very furstrating that one side we learn, and we forget the other side, its never ending, but now you know, so dont be down.
cheer upsmiling face

Thanks, KG.

You are always sweet. How are you doing?

I'm trying to ace hepatobil. Keep going!!!

  #97

sj... im sure you "enjoy" it.. lol.. its parasympathetic and also causes one to get sexually aroused lol.. and most ppl still dont get why you give chocolate to girls.. on valetine's day wink and flowers to take down the emotional barrier.

coffee, choc, sildanefil (viagra) they all inhibit phosphodiesterase.. which would've broken down cAMP.

Remember that most of the time (90% rule) its cAMP.. then comes IP3/DAG and tyrosine kinase, etc. So when in doubt you dont know what it is.. go for cAMP.. lets try an example.. not to test your intelligence or anything.. what 2nd messenger works on Coke or pepsi.

Remember the Oddball - Gastrin's 2nd msnger is Calcium.
