56 year old man, had fever, pleuritic chest pain for 1 day, he was admitted to hospital 3 weeks ago due to actue transmural anterior myocardial infarction. he has taken beta-adrenergic blocking agent and aspirin since being discharged. a friction rub is head over his precordium. which is the likely cause?

1. autoimmune reaction
2. postviral inflammation

the answer was different than the one that i picked, so i want to know why?

its just an autoimmune inflammatory reaction...
autoimmune reaction is Dressler's syndrome which is usually after 1 week - many months

treatment is Aspirin/NSAIDS/Glucocorticoids..
