dear mph,
can u please give some information about UPMC shadyside, web site does mention the fellowship positions over there, but it is under heading of UPMC and i guess that is the main UPMC program that u interviewed. U must be having ample information about this(UPMC shadyside) prog , i will be glad if u can share it.

Unlike other UPMC campus(UPMC almost takes over all big hospitals around Pittsburgh), Shadyside has much closer ties with UPMC, geographically and educationally. I would say it's the strongest affiliate.
It has a Cardiology fellowship, but doesnt accept applicants every year. Sports med. is another.
Aside from this, u r right. U need to go to Presbyterian for fellowship. However, I met at least 3 to 4 guys doing fellowship there are from Shadyside. All are IMGs. Therefore, I would predict it's a lot easier than going from Mckeesport or St.Margarate.
