congrats!!i know ur credentials,..i just have 3 interviews in hand.one is done with a univ hospital but no response to my thank u letter..other 2 r coming up...plz suggest how to interview and caste an impression yo be noticed atleaset if not a prematch a match may be!!

so guys, i asked for the pre-match at my interview. during my interview with the program director which happened to be the final of four, i told him that i really liked the program and would love to train there. i then poceeded to ask if pre-matches were offered. he told me that i am exactly what the program is looking for and that a pre-match may be offered to me in late december if they decide to offer any pre-matches this year. i got a call four days later from the associate program director asking me if i would accept and out-of-match position for july 2008. i signed a contract the very next day!

very hard to believe. out of the norm for scores in the mid 70s straight thru to get even an interview from a University program, let alone a prematch........WOW !! this is unheard of for a Carribean grad, unless offcourse you know someone in the program already.
then again, many things you said here and there are unbelievable...like getting an interview from a competitive Anesthesiology program for an IMG with 70s. very very hard to believe........but whatever......I guess we're gonna have to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Aww, seahorse786 - I feel really bad for you. To write with such a condescending tone, things must have gone wrong for you. I am truely sorry for your misfortune. If there is anything I can do to help, please dont hesitate to ask.
I look forward to starting residency orientation on June 17th. Cant wait!!
