2 monts-old boy is brought to the physician of a 6-weeks history diarrhea and vomiting most pronounced after formula feeding he has had a 113-g weigh loss since birth he currently weighs 3100 gr and is 51 cm in length.he appears irritable. examination shows jaundice, the lungs are clear to auscultation. no murmur are heard, the liver is palpable 2-3 cm below the righ costal margin, and the spleen is palpable 1-2 cm below the costal margin. laboratory studies show:
