yes, u r right, what do u think about cell biology questions in kaplan q bank. i got most of them wrong too once.
anyway, u r right, i should focus my most favourite weak areas, thats pathology and phsyio. more precisely cardio and respiratory, which is so vital.
i am always bad in choosing high and low yeild,
ok, now,back to study.

hey.. AD.. dont neglect cell bio.. for some reason it seems to have risen a lil compared to the past.. in par with mol. bio probably. most people believe its a cycle but not necessaily.. its jus the medicine practiced today in US heavily relies on mol. bio. techniques (as lab researches are getting more advanced).. so in that trend.. we jus have to keep up.. hence usmle requires we know our basic stuff.
Hang in there.. For histo.. dont focus on lil details.. jus make associations and know the highlighted stuff only. You already understand it because of physio and path.. its jus the minutiae detail you jus have to know.. kinda like neoplasm section in FA.

q's to spike up that memory line..
a) in terms of depolarization how does atrium differ from ventricle.
b) pxt whom you known for having HTN tells you excitedly she's pregnant.. you realizing that shes been on ace-I start panicking and she slaps you for not being happy for her.. you sneak into your office for a drink and come back and tell her.... she cant take em anymore.. she asks you why and wonders about another drug called losartan which she saw on commercial. Before slapping her back, speak up doctor..

hey Antidepressant.. its all good.. i tell myself to come here once a day then end up coming here everytime i take a long break so atleast 2/day. I hope all is well. As for the depolarization, atria uses ca+ where ventricles use Na+ (jus like most of body). youre right about fetal renal toxicity and ARB causes the same thing too. if you see pregnant lady.. go for alpha-methyldopa. tell us about what youre planning to do and if you tell us.. you have to do it. so spit em out.

well,regarding physio as whole or cvs,i dont want to comment or advise as i dont think im at level to do so,as im sailing in same boat as u do,what i noticed is that no matr how many times u go thru concepts ,u dont get hold on best unless apply regularly (mcqs),yes im doing physio bank(downloaded one).they are really good ones,keep on doing,as all wise men say,with practice n practice,there comes knowledge.if get any toughie do share with us here,discussion is good way to rememeber things. dont feel sad,lets do it and say 'we can do it'

I took a test in kaplan qbank, mixed mode, and i only got 54%, its so pathetic,kaplan is easier than uw, and i got so low, i cant believe it, how can i expect to pass in step 1 if i take it in this month. no one can make progress to 70% in 2 weeks, i dont think i will even get a passing score in nbme. life is so frustrating.

Oh AD dont dont feel sad,u can do it and make it to desired score just hang in there,just concentrate,kqbank no easier than uw,dont worry but have nitpikky stuff,make sure u knwo it well too,who knows u get one of those so keep on giving ur best shot, i really cant advise u(dont get me wrong) my scores are too varying,but NBME is there to guide us better.try one if want.

hey AD.. im sure rise of UW did some damage to kaplan qbank and they must've stepped up.. i really didnt do much of em.. but i wasnt scoring as great either comparatively to uw. they must've came up with new q's and wanted ppl to try it out so news get spread out... lol.. i guess we're doing what they exactly want us to do.. nehoo, for our purposes dont get discouraged.. its not really accurate to assume that qbank is easier even if had been like that in the past.. lets jus go with 50, 50 and youre doing a good job.. keep at it and switch your attention span to the next gear.

I went there again and saw them. I'm so clumsy.
As for your KQB score, I don't think it's too low but it's not high either. Since I did them, too. And what i got was the same as you. I don't think it's easier than UW, Maybe it's the new one, they may increase the level of difficulty.(How optimistic I am).

Johan, i agree with u, its really a bad score. i wanted to give it on tuesday too, but it was my plan on before taking that kap test. i thought i will study 3 days, half day for one subject from first aid and then take nbme, now i am fearing if i get 50% there too, thats a failing score, so may be later, i am not sure, lets see. i havent done anything today. now study.
