if i applied in jan or early feb 2008 wat is the earliest date i could have?!!!

Back in August, the earliest dates in many centers was in Jan, so you can do the math.

Up until about aug, dates are pretty easy to get. I would say you could apply as late as march/april and still get a date by sept.

i agree. the cs seems to easier to get a date in the 1st six months of the year. and your test period is valid for 12 months... and once you are able to schedule it , you can pick which ever date you want. so the earlier, the better.

CS is tricky and people have had trouble getting dates of their choice when they delayed. So, you have to plan early for a favorable date and get it to avoid inconvenience, specially if you are staying out of US.
