Hi Evereyone, I am an IMG and started studying for Step 1 since beginning of March.I intend to give the Step 1 in November. My study material will include: Kaplan notes supplemented with: Anatomy:High Yield Embryology:High Yield Molecular Biology:High Yield Pharmacology: Lippincott's Pathology:BRS or Goljan Physiology:BRS Behavioural Science Histology: High Yield Behavioural Scinece: High Yield First Aid And then supplemented with whatever questions I can get my hands on to. 1)My concern is I am not taking any Kaplan lectures/course......am I making a mistake in not taking the course? 2)Are the Biochemistry Kaplan notes and Microbiology/Immunology Kaplan notes adequate or do I need to supplement them too? 3)What are the topics I don't have to study for in Lippincott's Pharmacology? I am desperately need to get a score above 90%.....so please, please advice on what I should read and what not to.

Hello Malaysian. Unfortunatelly I can`t help you. I`m an IMG too and I`m planning on starting my studies in april. I still don`t have any books , therefore I`m ever far more lost than you. Maybe we can help each other. Where are you from? I`m from Brazil. Fernanda

Hi Fernanda, I'm also planning on starting studying for step 1 in the beginning of april. I'm in my second year of medical school in England but I'm originally from Athens, Greece. I thought that we could support each other, let me know if you are interested...good luck....Elena

Hello Elena!!! It would be very nice to be in touch with you during this long journey. I`m from Brazil and I`ve already graduated from Med School in 1999. I`ve already attended ObGyn Residency here but I want to practice in USA for a while. Therefore, it will be really hard for me to study the basic subjects again for step1, because they don`t have use in day by day practice and I have to work too. Do you have any books yet? I`m still trying to find out the best ones to purchase. Maybe you can help me... Fernanda
