While I have applied for my exam and will be sending out the final document in an hour I thought I shall share with you the application process. I have been getting lots of questions. I know finally every one would have figured it out but I still think this information should be there some where.

This is where you start.
Decide whether you want to do an online application or a paper application.
I have done the online application so my post is specific to that.
Decide which board you are elidgible to take the exam from.
Have a printer connected to your comp
Have a Visa or a mastercard credit card handly.
Follow the instructions and you will get through. It is pretty straight forward. You need to be ECFMG certified.
After you pay, you get to the Certification of identity form which you print and notarize and send out. The notary doesn't need to get legalised. And the licensing board for which you are taking the exam is the same as the state through which you are applying.
ANy other questions please feel free to ask.You know anything else please fell free to add.
Regarding the FCVS, it isn't essential at the time of the application for us to take the exam but with it's rates rising every year I have been adviced to start that process too asap.

hi, just one question ...i wz wondering if u take step 3for one state's licencing req. e.g california ...does it hold for other states or do u take it again if u get residency in some other state?

I will be applying for step 3 and was wondering which state will process the application quickly as I have to take the test by the last week of january.
I have read on this forum that CT ia the quickest, as I have done my exams more than 7 yrs ago, I was told I am not eliile to apply thru CT.
Can anyone please let me know what states are the best to apply to get quick application process.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi
i have a few queries.first my status.... CK done,step1 second attempt in coming april,CS scheduled on june 3.
i want to know if it is possible for me to be in a position to be able to apply for a H1, and go for the 2009 match.
if i give CS on june3,my score will be reported between aug 4 and sep 4............ sometihng like that,am i right?how long after this can i write step 1? also how much time is needed to prepare for step3? basically i want to know if i can make it to the2009 match,on an H1, as the situation lies ahead of me?
please help me.......... i have no idea.if i want to get an H1 what am i supposed to do........ i want to get H1 but am not prepared to waste another year..... is it feasible? please give me a rough plan.
