these are some questions for which i am yet to find some good answers......................
i hope to post other questions, if people may find time to reply
to this. Usually people strongly disapprove and disagree with my questions.

q1) will you be returning to india( read home country) after completion of your training.

  #2

what is the correct answer for that question?
"if you sponsor my H1B visa, I will be glad to stay here?"
I still don't know what to say...

  #3

I would say the thruth and why; for me yes or not are correct but with the correct background.

  #4

Be politically correct... say it would depend on the circumstances of the time.. if I get J-1 visa now, I will have to return.. but if I get H-1, will have a option of staying and joining practice.. Future job opportunities will decide your decisions.

  #5

I guess the best reply would be one which is honest as well as diplomatic. I am pretty sure you cannot predict the kind of visa you get . Neither can you be sure of circumstances at the end of residency... so its best to convey all these variables and answer them honestly.

sorry i misquoted the question.
they usually will ask , "would you like to return to india" to repay
your dues to the society( ditto words @ one of my interviews)

  #7

Good Qs puchpal. what was your answer for that? how was IVers response to that?

  #8

i really get bundled out on this one.
im looking for nadia , sarika , ujaala, newyg and
above all cma ji's response

  #9

Above all mine???? I'm honoured grin
I was asked the same qn too..

Well I agree u gotta be diplomatic bout this..
This country is training you..So its imp not to forget that you owe something to this society as well....
Another point is that no metter how much gandhigiri you try to show, they know very few docs go back, so no 1 buys the fact that "I'm going to return back n serve my country" even if u mean every bit of it .

My answer would be..'Given the choice, I wud practise here for a few years , (inc the research/academic etc track here) and then wud LIKE to to go back home ". I wudnt incl the visa issue here coz there are ways arnd it n technically to give something back to this country u shd b willing for a J1 waiver..

waiting for comments !!!

OK.. first of all I havent been to any IVs yet and havent got a chance to study.. but this is a tricky question, I must say! And your answer could depend on the interviewer as well... I'd be honest about my future goals and maybe crack a joke just to loosen the serious environment but it all depends whether the person sitting right next to you is a humor-accepting faculty or not wink
