I know that it would be better to have out step 3 result before the ranking date...However, I am planning to give by the end of January or Feb. I am sure that I cannot take the exam in December. Given that, Should I start paying the fees and sending my application now or can I wait for 2-3 weeks and then apply in December to get the 90 day slot as January - march. Your suggestions Please!! Thanx

I have the same concern. Is the 3-month eligibility period flexible i.e you can choose the period like in step 1& 2 or it starts immediately after they receive our application? Please help! Thanks...

you cannot choose the period and it is automatically assigned. but you might like to ask from someone that what dates are available right now , which you can only check after applying. you may not have a date available in january if you apply in late december.

Apply now, your period will start if your application was processed and approved. Your period will be within 3 months + 15 days. You can extend your period once, so totally you may take the exam with 6 months + 15 days. You should schedule your exam early, if you cannot sit for it, cancel and reschedule like step 1+2ck free of charge if is done more than 5 days of your scheduled date. Good luck.

sucks that they don't let you choose your 3 month block like step I and II

Thank u for all your suggestions... Well..Do they charge for extending the 3 month slot, as robin said, 6 months + 15 days? will it be difficult for me to get a date in late january if applied in december? Is the availability of the dates are harder than step 1 and step2? Thanx

yes they charge (i think 50 $) for one extension to next 3 months. dates depend on which center you want to take it in. newyork centers are busy. and jan will be busy. (personal opinion)
