very important, they help you come up with a diferential diagnosis based on presentation. Basically you should read the mini case, come up with your own differential and compare it to the answer. It becomes repetitive, but that's the idea, so that it becomes second nature. g'luck

i totally agree. i didn't have a study partner so it was great to study on my own. and the repetition helps when you see a general case. after going through the mini cases i would then work on the practice cases. once you are through with the mini-cases then you are ready to go to the practice cases. good luck

I can not stress how important these cases are. Would you believe me if I said that the mini cases are as important as the practice cases ? THEY ARE ! I got 3 cases from the mini cases that were not mentioned in the practice cases so you had better do them all well. I never thought they'd be there but I was lucky that I read them a few times and on the night of my exam I read them all thoroughly.
