Here is my way: Knock on the door, but do not wait for reply (not needed), enter "Good morning/afternoon, Mr/Mrs XXX, I am ZZZ, an attending physician/pediatrician here... How can I help you??? " Baseline: do not do it very long, the greeting should take 15-20 secs... GL

*Knock on the door Mrs....... ? - yes *Shake hands and establish eye contact while saying: Hello (or good morning/afternoon), I'm Dr...... I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions and perform a physical. - sure Dr. Is it ok if I take s few notes ? - of course It's as simple as that, all you need to do is practice this over and over till it becomes routine.

This topic was originally posted by DrS but that thread some how messed up the Forum format. I have moved all the posts here and if someone else feels like to add more then plz do. Who do you introduce yourself as when you you greet your "patients"
