I decide to start step 3 from today, after awful days waiting for IVs with OCD. I know the season of IV is going to end... No more excitation, no more eagerness to get dream pgs IV.
Finally I am back with reality 
Target: step 3 by the end of Jan or early Feb, because I have Ivs to be done in Dec and early Jan.
Resources: don't know yet. Here are some that I can access.
1. FA for the Internal Med Board 1wk
2. Swanson some chapters 1wk-2wks
3. UW step 3 2months
4. Shaher CCS CD 1 wk
5. Washington manual and CMDT 2008 for reference.
I don't know if its effective or not. I need to score high for this test to prepare for my next year Match 2009!
I will post my progress here for my preps

yuna i am starting for step 3 too. At first i thought it wasnt necessary for applicant who dont need visa but 3 programs mentioned i should take it soon and send them the result.
I have to take it soon.. your plan sounds good to me...I hope people with experience can advice on a realistic timeline.

Welcome on board sarika. I appreciate your contributions to the Match Forum and now the necessary of step 3 to GC holders.
Hopefully we will receive some great advices on taking step 3, in aspects of resources, timeline and strategy...

I just can't concentrate on reading because of my travelling. I know I need to prepare them as soon as possible but I am still in the first 50qs-block.

Hi all, thank you for visiting my lazy prep journals. I didn't take care of it since I could not touch anything about step 3 in the last month. I was busy of travelling, shopping and some interviewing those days...then, I lost my motivation of studying!
Now I back to my home town for a while, and try to keep myself busy with step 3.
However, I am confused of how to switch my mind on  !
Anyway, Happy New Year to all step 3 soldiers!

Yuna all that needs to be read? :O Well I accidently bought NBME for CM and did one block before CK, I'll finish the rest and se where I'm at! But all this!  I can't , am sick of the STEPs someone I need an IV now!

Medocuk, I will take it in late Feb. Just restarted things today with some introductions from FA step 3. I noticed that I almost forget all step 2 stuffs which I learned before March 2007 .

Thanks shwe, mytime and medocuk for visiting. I lost my track again. 
I am done with my IVs now. In my last IV, the chief of medicine asked me " Did you take step 3 and when do you plan to do so? ", even my status doesn't require step 3 for entering Residency. That showed in one way or another the importance of step 3, at least in prematch or scramble. Having said that, my step 3 prep now has the straight way to go...
1. Applied for step 3
2. Sent post mail with photo ID and noterized page.
3. Set the date on late Feb and will pick the date when I get the period
4. Go for it...
5. Send my little one to day care again, poor him!

Finished GI and ID MCQs. Cleared some concepts in ID which I used to confuse when I was preparing for CK.

Wow and now you decided to study I am so glad. I didnt take my exam. I think I need people like u to be on board. Some how I was so lost. but I don't want to give myself too much time. I shall get started soon-ish and I am so happy this time I have u to back me up.
