1.Chemical conjunctivitis ; within 12 hours of instilling the drops and resolves within 48 hours

2. G onorrheal conjunctivitis 2~5 days after birth ; infants given prophylactic drops SHOULD not develop.

3. Chlamydial(inclusion) conjunctivitis : 5~14 days after birth

prophylactic eye drops do not effectively prevent this.

nod chlamydial conjunctivitis: the active phase of the disease is characterized by follicular conjunctivitis and pannus (neovascularization) formation in the cornea. Ty is erythromycin

Gonococcal conjunctivitis acquired through contact with infected secretions and occurs 2-3 days after birth. Presents as copious, purulent eye discharge w/swollen eye lids and chemosis.
