Nice to see you, you almost disappeared after st 1. yes starting for any exam is always a problem. Once we wil be done with a read we will be more comfortable.

well the journal seems so life less. well my credentials by ecfmg still need to be verified. i dont knwo wt are these guys doing. i ssent them my documents in april. then waited fr teh verification by medical school. im july i called them just to find out that its taking longer than they had expected so i should follow . then i went to my country and sent the verifed documents by courier that they received on 31 october abd no wthey say they need six more weeks before they can certify me.
all so messy. how can i apply fr step three when im not yet certified and im sure there r guys like me whoo can only study when they have a time line. hehehhe. i need to knwo teh exact date of teh exam so that i can study hard. yet no excuses. i will start from q book. it LOOKED easier.from today i will write here so that i can be motivated.
les start all over again before i forget everything. no more morning shows and following ERAS. there r just rejections there.

I kinda understand your predicament. With me it is about residency applications. I was holding up my spirits until this weekend but now I find it hard cos I know I am chasing a rain bow.
I wish I knew what is the right thing to say. All I know is we have to find our own motivation and we have to do this for ourselves.
There are some really nice people around but none that can understand our situation. In the end we all fight our battles alone.
So here is wishing you good luck and looking forward to studying together for step3.

thanks alot medocuk for stopping by . we really need some strong motivation to hold our spirits . les study together as a group. it really helps in meeting the target in time limits. when r u planning to take teh exam. i want to take it in febraury although im not sure.

Hi all,
at last i got ecfmg certificate. although happy but it was so late. i have been really busy in last few months. because instead of studying for step three i started an externship. because if i dont mach this year then i have plenty of time to take step three. externship really helps although its hard to find.
but i will start again to give teh exam by march or april.will write again only if i hit teh books.

i didnot take teh test. I am doing an externship and it keepe me so busy. In reality i feel i have lost the motivation. i really dont feel I am up to it.
may eb i should change the name of my journal before startng again. the match season as a whole has been soo stressful and its over. and the externship im doing is so aweful.my hospital is soo far and i have to work really hard (although im not allowed to do much and thats the hardest part of it) the only good thing is that i have a research project to work on. i dont know how can i manage to study for step three with all this going on. i dont want to leave the externship coz ... i may not get it again.

hi doc-08, if you don't match for 2008. I guess concentrating on externship is better than finding time for step 3. Having USCE is as important as your step 1 and 2 tests. You are lucky to have that under your belt. Be positive and try to impress the attendings, and get very nice references out of this experience. As you said, you have plenty of time for step 3. But USCE is very hard to find. So focus on that instead, be more productive and fruitful. Best of luck!

okay. finally i started. yday i finished git from kaplan. todays target is endoand rheumatology. im at work so might be hard yat i will try to finish at night.
my target is to giev exam in early june. lets see if i can do it.

instead started cvs. that was more interesting an dchanged teh book too. lange review is a good book. and today i will start UW. seems really hard after being out of touch fr soo long. studying still is teh easiest job in the world.

Did one block and started endo from kaplan. got 64 . not truly out of shape. I can do it.I should do it.. the ccs cases are like the notes. I thouht it will be interactive like the original exam software. feel bad about that. I thought I need to practise that software and cd is nt enough.well for now I need to set target.
exam in first week of june.
2 chapters from kaplan step thre notes daily.
2 blocks uw.
2 cases ccs.(in case of time shortage I will drop them)
lange review for cramming.
see how it works.
I need alot of prayers to do this. it seems so hard.but writing a journal helps. it keeps me on track. if i dont complete wt i write i still do alot.

okay
today was not a very good day at all.
did only endo and started rheumatology . cannot finish it .
did two blocks of UW. got 48 and 56...... feel scared now. this is hard.i should work harder.i will do two more tomorrow. doing questions help. i wish i had done it sooner.

Hi all,
why is this so slow. hardly did one block yday. wekend was busy. did one block UW. got a terrible 56. i want something good but how can i score good if i dont study. today i should make uo for it. I wish i could send my kid to day care for a few days but unfortunately that is not an option at all. So it has to be this way. may be If he sleeps for sometime I can study. I dont know how moms do it. I see a lot of other moms doing steps with kids. they are really great.
I will write here at the end of the day. will try to finish some reading from kaplan and at night willl do questions coz my son wants computer if i do it during the day.

yday did only rheumatology. but finished it.........
today seems like a good day to study. my son is calm so i managed to finish Emergency medicinen from kaplan. if he sleeps that will be a wonderful time to do a block of questions. yday i wasted his nap time in attending calls. i shoulld limit time on phone. the day passes so quickly and at the end of teh day im surprised............as wt i did today...........well something is better than nothing.
alot of research work is pending too.i wish a day could have 40 hours. hehheheh.
so les get back to work. i need to get done with review fast. i want a good score and a good preperation before going for teh exam.

thanks Markus2009 for droping the message. well everyone is busy u know. life is like this. some of us manage it well and others dont. I just dont manage well so I am always short of time.
I did one block of mixed questions and i got 79. i know its only coz i knew the answers to soem questions..........It still feels good. heheh.
I will do another and then will do explanations. at night I will read theory. most of the time i have to study at night when im too sleepy .still have to gain the momentum.

hi all
yday did one more block of UW with 58. did explanations. I dont seem to read teh questionn carefully. when i read teh answer i feel like a fool.often with.........oh i knew that and i got it wrong coz i dint read the whole question stem.
today im doing cardio. i will finish it. and will try to do some questions at teh end of teh day. studying is fun.

thats so awkward, i start studying and something happens to distract me again.
Is their anyone like me who is struggling to gain the momentum and motivation both please join me so that we can get through this together.
today I will do questions. I have not yet touched CCS and I have uw only till may 10.i need to get done with this as fast as possible. i can read books later.I daily tell myself that I am in no hurry yet... i want to do it sooner than later.
will try to do a lot today.
