There are no stupid questions. Some of the others here will have to help with the ones that I don't know. Why don't I know them? Because I think that MCAT and SAT are pre-medical school and it's way before I get to know you. Obervership is when you will be in a hospital, shadowing or watching a physician, team of residents, etc. take care of patients. As an observer, you don't touch patients. Usually an observership is performed by a graduate of medical school. An externship is the same thing. A rotation is a time on a medical service of a hospital/clinic, etc. It could be a month, couple of weeks - the time of a rotation varies. It could be a rotation in the ER, CCU, Surgery, Peds, IM, or many, many more. The match is a service provided by the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program at http://www.nrmp.org/res_match/ This is a good place to start for match information. Next?? What does mean observership , clerkship , rotation , match , sat , mcat
