At what level of B-hCG should an intrauterine gestational sac be able to be seen?

An intrauterine gestational sac should be visible by transvaginal US when the B-hCG level is approx 1000 mIU/mL and by transabdominal US when the B-hCG level is 1800-3600 mIU/mL. I know I was like "huh?" when I saw this question.
